Ducati motorcycle rear brake hose may fail from excessive heat

Ducati is recalling certain 2025-2026 Streetfighter V4 and Panigale V4 motorcycles because excessive heat may damage the rear brake hose, resulting in a sudden loss of the rear brakes.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 4 covers structural vehicle defects: the source describes a sudden and total loss of the rear brakes, not a degraded braking function.

Plain-English summary

Ducati North America is recalling certain 2025-2026 Streetfighter V4, Streetfighter V4 S, Panigale V4 and Panigale V4 S motorcycles. About 1,440 units are potentially affected.

Excessive heat may damage the rear brake hose between the ABS control unit and brake caliper, resulting in a sudden loss of the rear brakes.
