FWMoto Recalls FLY-10 E-Bikes Due to Insufficient Brake Performance

FWMoto is recalling 2022-2024 FLY-10 e-bikes because brake pads may provide insufficient braking performance, increasing the risk of a crash.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a structural vehicle defect (brake system) that fails to meet federal safety standards, posing a significant risk of crash or injury, which aligns with the 'Severe' criteria for structural vehicle defects.

Plain-English summary

FWMoto Inc. is recalling certain 2024 FWMOTO FLY-10 and 2022-2024 FLY E-BIKE FLY-10 scooters. The recall involves 1,835 vehicles where the brake pads may provide insufficient braking performance. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 122, “Motorcycle Brake Systems.”

Insufficient braking performance can extend the distance required to stop or cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Owner notification letters were mailed on March 27, 2026. FLYE will replace the brake pads free of charge or repurchase the scooter. Owners may contact FLYE customer service at 646-961-5177 or email [email protected].
