As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 122, “Motorcycle Brake Systems.”

Insufficient braking performance can extend the distance required to stop or cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
