Plain-English summary

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain integrated trailer module (ITRM) accessory kits sold as aftermarket accessories for Ford 2021-2026 F-150 vehicles. The affected kits include part numbers RL3Z-19H322-AA, ML3Z-19H322-AA, AB, BA, BB, CA, and CB.

The integrated trailer module may lose communication with the vehicle, which can cause a loss of brake function, turn signals, and brake lights. This defect causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

A loss of trailer brakes or lights can reduce the driver’s ability to control the trailer and decrease the trailer's visibility to other road users, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will update the ITRM software free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 28, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26C35.
