Multiple travel trailers recalled for detaching freshwater tanks

Forest River travel trailers may have freshwater tanks that detach when full, posing a road hazard. Dealers will install additional attachment straps at no cost.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: A structural tank attachment defect with potential for detachment and road hazard is rated High. The hazard is credible and creates significant risk of crash, but no injuries or crashes have been reported.
