What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a structural vehicle defect (fuel system) that poses a significant risk of fire, which aligns with the rubric criteria for a Severe (4) rating.

Plain-English summary

Adaptive Mobility Systems Inc. is recalling certain 2020-2023 Maxvan Pathway and 2021 Maxvan Route vehicles. These vehicles are equipped with specific Cummins Onan QG 2800i and Onan QG 28001 EVAP generator sets. The recall involves 34 affected vehicles.

The fuel hose located between the inline fuel filter and the Injection Pump Module (IPM) may have inadequate clamp force. This defect can result in a gasoline leak. If a gasoline leak occurs in the presence of an ignition source, it may increase the risk of fire.

Cummins Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel hose and clamps free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 6, 2023. Owners may contact Adaptive Mobility Systems customer service at 1-844-240-8962 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
