Winnebago motorhome cooktops recalled for potential gas leak and fire risk

Winnebago is recalling certain Travato, Solis, and Ekko motorhomes with Suburban cooktops that may develop gas leaks due to fractured burner tubes. In the presence of an ignition source, a leak poses a fire risk.

Winnebago Industries is recalling certain 2020-2023 Solis, 2021-2023 Travato, and 2022-2023 Ekko motorhomes equipped with Suburban Manufacturing Company SDS2 2-Burner Drop-in Cooktops (part number 3032AST). The internal aluminum burner tubes that connect to the gas valves may fracture, potentially causing a gas leak.

If a gas leak occurs in the presence of an ignition source, the risk of fire is increased. To date, no injuries or deaths have been reported related to this issue.

Approximately 9,720 motorhomes are potentially affected. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 31, 2023. Winnebago will repair the cooktop free of charge. Owners should contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885 to arrange a repair.
