Plain-English summary

Miller Electric MFG. CO. is recalling certain EnPak A60 Diesel Engine-Driven All-In-One Air Compressor/Generator/Battery Charger/Crank Assist/Hydraulic Pump/Welder units. The affected models are A60GB, A60GBH, and A60GBHW, with stock numbers 907813, 907813001, 907814, 907814001, 907815, and 907815001. These units were manufactured between July 16, 2021, and February 16, 2022, and fall within the serial number range NB290697R to NC080172R. A total of 296 units are affected by this recall.

The recall is due to a bracket inside the unit that may have been installed with inadequate clearance. This can allow the drive belt to contact other components, potentially damaging the ground wire, battery cables, and fuel hoses. Additionally, a lack of clearance between the output inductor and the frame may cause an electrical arc. A damaged power cable or diesel fuel hose can cause an electrical short-circuit or fuel leak, and any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a fire.

Dealers will inspect and replace the ground wire, battery cables, and fuel hoses as necessary, and install a larger bracket. A new bracket will also be installed between the output inductor and frame. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Vehicle upfitters were notified on February 28, 2022, and owner letters were mailed on May 27, 2022. Owners may contact Miller customer service at 1-920-735-4505 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
