Trail King is recalling 2015-2020 AACS and ACS trailers because rear suspension beams may crack and detach, increasing crash risk.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a structural vehicle defect (suspension beam detachment) that increases the risk of a crash, which aligns with the 'Severe' criteria for structural defects.

Plain-English summary

Trail King Industries, Inc. is recalling certain 2015-2020 TK70AACS, TK80AACS, TK85ACS, and AACS-38 trailers. The recall addresses a defect where the rear sliding-axle suspension beams may contact the frame reinforcement and crack. This condition can result in the suspension beams coming loose or detaching from the frame bracket.

Loose or detached suspension beams can increase the risk of a crash. The affected vehicles are Trail King AACS and ACS models manufactured between 2015 and 2020.

Dealers will add reinforcements between the hanger and the slide pan and inspect and repair any cracks as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 12, 2021. Owners may contact Trail King's customer service at 1-800-843-3324 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
