Shyft Group is recalling certain 2021 Utilimaster Velocity vehicles. The recall addresses a defect in the Tire and Loading Information placard, which incorrectly states a seating capacity of one, although the actual seating capacity is two. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
The incorrect seating capacity information may cause the vehicle to be overloaded, which increases the risk of a crash. Dealers will install new placards free of charge to correct the error.
