2021 RAM 1500 trucks recalled for missing brake pedal retaining clip

Plain-English summary

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2021 RAM 1500 Classic SLT trucks. The affected vehicles were built without the retaining clip that secures the master cylinder push rod to the brake pedal.

Without this clip in place, the brake pedal can separate from the brake system. If separation occurs, the driver will be unable to apply the service brakes, increasing the risk of a crash.

Approximately 683 vehicles are affected. Owners should not drive their vehicles until they receive instructions on inspection and repair. Chrysler dealers will inspect and install the missing push rod clip at no charge. The recall notification began February 9, 2021.
