Brembo S.p.A. is recalling certain Brembo brake pads, model BRM10B, part number 07988236/07B80923. The defect involves Tungaloy pads that could corrode, potentially causing the brake pad friction material to detach from the backing plate.

If the friction material detaches, it may lengthen the stopping distance needed, which increases the risk of a crash. Brembo has worked with affected motorcycle manufacturers, who filed their own recalls in May 2020. Dealers for these manufacturers will replace all Tungaloy pads with improved pads free of charge.
