The recall addresses a defect in the 48-volt electrical system, which may experience an overload event. This overload can cause a failure of the Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor (MOSFET), resulting in a DCDC converter electrical short-circuit.

An electrical short-circuit increases the risk of a fire. Owners are advised to exit the vehicle when it is parked and park outside away from buildings or structures until the repair is complete.
