What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Plain-English summary

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2019 Ford Ranger vehicles that were previously repaired under recall 19V-726. The service replacement Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) blower motor installed during that prior repair may have an improper clearance between an electrical terminal and the conductive base plate. This defect may result in a resistive electrical short.

A resistive electrical short increases the risk of a fire. Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the HVAC blower motor, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began April 6, 2020.
