A detached anchor pin prevents the automatic brake adjusters from properly compensating for brake pad wear, which could lead to reduced braking ability or total loss of brakes, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, loose anchor pins could cause the adjuster to jam, preventing it from returning to its rest position. This may cause the brakes to drag, increasing the risk of a fire.

Great Dane will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the anchor pin mounting bolts for proper tightness and replace any missing pins free of charge. The recall began on November 16, 2018.
