Plain-English summary
Mobility Ventures LLC is recalling certain 2011-2016 MV-1 vehicles. The recall addresses a defect in the driver's seat-height adjustment assembly. During a hard rear impact, this assembly may disengage from the seat track, and the fore/aft seat adjuster may be released. This can cause the seat to disengage from the seat track.
If the driver's seat partially or fully disengages from the seat track in a rear-end crash, the driver has an increased risk of injury. The recall began on February 14, 2018.
Mobility Ventures will notify owners, and dealers will install a seat track reinforcement kit free of charge. Owners may contact Mobility Ventures customer service at 1-877-681-3678. The recall number is R1801. Owners may also contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov.
