Kia Recalls 2014-2016 Soul Models Due to Steering Gear Separation Risk

Kia Motors America is recalling certain 2014-2016 Kia Soul and Soul EV vehicles. The recall addresses a defect where the pinion plug may allow the pinion gear to separate from the steering gear assembly. This recall supersedes previous campaigns 14V-332 and 15V-736. Vehicles that were previously remedied under those earlier numbers are being recalled again under this new campaign. The recall began on November 16, 2017.
