C & M Trailers Inc. is recalling certain 2015-2016 C&M cargo trailers that are over 80 inches wide. The affected vehicles were built with side marker lamps mounted over 60 inches high, which fails to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The defect may prevent other motorists from correctly identifying the length of the trailer, which increases the risk of a crash. The recall began on October 23, 2017.
