Aluma/KLM is recalling certain model year 2011-2015 5410T and 5410WD trailers manufactured between January 1, 2011, and June 1, 2015. The recall involves 529 units.

The defect is caused by missing welds, which may allow the trailer tongues to separate from the body of the trailer. If the tongue separates, the rear of the tongue retainer and tongue tube will drag on the pavement, and the trailer will not be properly secured to the tow vehicle. This condition results in a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Aluma/KLM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the trailers for missing welds, add any missing welds, and retrofit two additional gussets free of charge.
