Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is recalling certain Dunlop SP50 tires, size P205/70R15 95T, that were manufactured between December 2, 2012, and February 1, 2014. The recall affects 16,757 units. The affected tires could experience tread chunking in service, which means they fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 139, "New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles."
If the tire experiences tread chunking in service, the risk of a crash may be increased. Goodyear will notify owners, and dealers will replace the tires free of charge. The recall began on September 27, 2016.
