Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain model year 2011 Toyota Camry vehicles manufactured between March 8, 2011, and July 20, 2011. The recall addresses a defect in the front suspension lower arm ball joint where the rubber boot may have been damaged during manufacturing.
This damage can cause the boot to leak lubricant grease, which may lead to the ball joint wearing and loosening prematurely. A loosened ball joint may separate from the knuckle, potentially causing a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.
