Spartan Recalls School Bus Chassis Due to Reversed ABS Connectors

Spartan Motors, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2011-2015 school bus chassis manufactured between December 21, 2010, and June 26, 2014. These vehicles are equipped with air brake systems and may have been manufactured with the rear antilock brake system (ABS) harness connectors reversed.

If the ABS connectors are reversed, the rear wheels may lock up while braking, which increases the risk of a crash. The recall affects 65 vehicles.

Spartan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and correct the ABS harness connectors, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on January 14, 2015. Owners may contact Spartan customer service at 1-517-543-6400. Spartan's number for this recall is 14015.
