In the affected vehicles, one of the rear leaf springs may fracture due to stress or corrosion. While driving, a broken leaf spring could move out of position and contact surrounding components, including the fuel tank. This contact may puncture the tank, causing a fuel leak. If the fuel tank leaks fuel, there is an increased risk of a fire.
