This recall applies to vehicles delivered to or registered in Colorado, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Wyoming.
The defect involves an O-ring in the pressure relief device for the CNG system that may fail at cold temperatures. This failure can result in a natural gas leak. In the presence of an ignition source, a natural gas leak could potentially cause a fire or explosion.
Blue Bird will notify owners, and dealers will replace the original pressure relief device and O-ring with a new one free of charge. The recall began on September 8, 2014. Owners may contact Blue Bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
