Buyers Products Company is recalling certain warning triangles, part numbers ERT10 (3 pack) and ERT01 (single piece), manufactured between March 2011 and June 2014. The affected units have an insufficiently rigid joint between the base and the triangle and are improperly filled with ballast. As a result, the triangles may blow over from wind gusts, such as those created by passing vehicles. This failure means the triangles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 125 "Warning Devices."

If a triangle blows over, other drivers may not be adequately warned of a stopped vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash. Buyers Products notified its dealers beginning on August 26, 2014.
