If the motor assembly screws shear, the awning can unfurl unexpectedly while the vehicle is at rest or in transit. This condition increases the risk of personal injury or a vehicle crash.

Intech will notify owners, and Intech or Dometic will replace the affected motors with one of a different design free of charge. The recall began on May 3, 2013.
