Plain-English summary
Temsa Global Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. is recalling 256 model year 2011-2013 TS35C and 2012-2013 TS30 motorcoach buses. These vehicles were manufactured between November 2010 and May 2013 for the TS35C, and between November 2011 and April 2013 for the TS30. The recall applies to vehicles equipped with 3-point seat belts.
The defect involves bolts used to install the seats being tightened beyond their torque specification. This over-tightening may cause the bolts to fail. In the event of a crash, if the bolts break, the seats may not be properly anchored, which increases the risk of injury to occupants.
The recall began on July 9, 2013. Dealers will replace the existing bolts with new ones. Owners may contact CH Bus Sales at 1-407-271-8935 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
