Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2012 Aerial Device vehicles built on a Navistar Terrastar chassis. The affected models include the AT235P, AT37-G, AT235, AT200A, AT40M/P, and AT30-G. A total of 141 vehicles are affected by this recall.
The recall is due to an Altec-installed torsion bar that increases the ride height of the front suspension. When the vehicle hits bumps, this modification may cause the vehicle to alter its steering direction. This deviation from the intended line of travel increases the risk of a crash.
