This recall applies to vehicles equipped with Braun Century-2 and Vista-2 wheelchair lifts. The defect involves the roll stop latches on the outer barrier, which may become bent or misaligned over time and with frequent use.
If the latches are insufficiently secured, a wheelchair occupant may defeat or ride over the roll stop. If this occurs while the lift platform is in an elevated position, the occupant could fall and sustain injury. DTNA will notify owners, and authorized Braun dealers will perform the necessary repairs free of charge. The safety recall began on June 28, 2012.
