This recall affects vehicles equipped with the “Generator Ready” option or a standard generator. The recall began on February 24, 2012, and is a revision to a previous remedy process.

The defect involves certain IOTA ITS-50R transfer switches that may fail when exposed to high electrical loads. This failure causes connections and wiring within the transfer switch to degrade and overheat. Continued use of the vehicle without replacing the switch may damage other appliances and increase the risk of fire, personal injury, and property damage.
