A portion of the wiring harness may become pinched between the rear subframe and the rear fender, or between the rear subframe and the bolt holding the seat cover. This pinching can damage the harness and wiring, resulting in a short circuit between wires and the frame or within the wires. This electrical fault could cause the engine to stop suddenly while the motorcycle is being ridden.

If the motorcycle stalls while in motion, there is a risk of a crash resulting in injury or death. Dealers will repair the motorcycle as necessary and reroute the main harness free of charge.
