Dutchmen Manufacturing, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2012 Infinity travel trailers manufactured between February 4, 2011, and June 30, 2011. The recall involves 92 units where the 12-volt main wiring in the front bulkhead compartment is incorrectly routed.
The defect occurs because the power feed line to the solenoid for the hydraulic pump system is wired to the lower portion of the electrical bus bar, a section that should only contain the main power feed from the disconnect switch. This specific circuit is not protected by an auto-reset breaker. In the event of a short or ground, this unprotected circuit could result in a fire.
Dealers will install an additional auto-reset breaker to the bus bar and connect the power feed for the hydraulic pump system to this new breaker to provide the required over-current protection.
