The recall addresses an incorrect combination of a flat washer and serrated nut installed on the bolt securing the starter cable retaining clamp. This error prevents the nut from locking properly, allowing it to back off over time. If the starter cable falls and contacts the engine cooling fan hub while the vehicle is in operation, the cable covering may abrade, resulting in a direct short that could potentially cause a vehicle fire.
