The defect involves power cables running to the power distribution unit and driver's control module. These cables may have been installed with the lug (eyelet) flat side up. This condition allows vibration to wear the insulation, potentially causing direct contact between the bare lug and the unit, which could result in a direct short in the electrical system and a fire.
