East Coast Fresh Salsa Products Recalled for Potential Salmonella Contamination

The recalled products include multiple sizes and formats: 1-pound salsa cups, 5-pound containers, 6-packs of 1-pound retail cups, 20-pound bulk containers, 7-pound containers, 12-pack retail formats, 20-pound buckets, and 30-ounce retail packs. All lot codes for these products are affected by this recall.

The recall was initiated because cucumbers used in these salsa products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The products were distributed to DC, DE, FL, GA, MA, MD, MI, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, VA, WV, CT, KY, VT, and Puerto Rico. A total of 14,338 units are affected.

Consumers who have purchased any of the recalled salsa products should stop consuming them and discard them or return them to the place of purchase.
