Club Chef LLC is recalling specific salsa products because fresh jalapeno peppers used in manufacturing were found to be contaminated with Salmonella.
What this means for you
Highest-severity recall. Risk of serious injury or death is documented or strongly suspected. Stop using the product now and follow the agency's instructions.
Our severity reasoning: The recall is classified as FDA Class I, which indicates a reasonable probability that the use of or exposure to the violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death. Additionally, the presence of Salmonella, a high-risk pathogen, in a ready-to-eat food product warrants the highest severity rating.
