About 77,000 units were sold in the United States and about 72 were sold in Canada. The hand warmers were sold at Bass Pro Shops, Meijer, Target, The Home Depot, and other stores nationwide and online, including Amazon.com, from July 2025 through August 2026 for between $30 and $40. Consumers should stop using the recalled hand warmers immediately and contact Kobayashi for a full refund. Consumers must follow instructions at hothands.com/recall-notice-rechargeable to obtain a claim number, mark the product with permanent marker, submit a photo, and dispose of the device and battery according to local hazardous waste regulations. Do not place the recalled lithium-ion battery in general trash or standard recycling bins.
