The recalled units were sold at PC Richard & Son, Grainger, and Johnson Supply stores, as well as other appliance distributors and retailers nationwide, from January 2026 through August 2026 for between $1,300 and $2,000. Consumers should stop using the recalled air conditioners immediately and visit www.friedrich.com/product-recall to determine if their unit is covered. If the unit is included in the recall, Friedrich will provide instructions for obtaining a refund or a free replacement unit.
