What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: Scored 3 under the risk-of-harm criterion: the record describes a choking hazard to young children from released small beads, with no injuries reported.

Plain-English summary

This CPSC recall involves a Giraffe Plush Toy with clip and a Llama Plush Toy with clip. The record states the Giraffe has a yellow body with a yellow claw clip, orange and blue legs with various coloured paws, black and white animal print ears, measures about nine inches long, and carries "HL699436 or HL731481" printed on a white sewn-in label.

The record states the legs of the plush toy can detach from the body, allowing the release of small beads that are on the legs, posing a choking hazard to young children. The firm has received one report of the leg detaching from the body of the plush toy, allowing the small beads to detach from the leg, and no injuries have been reported.

The record lists about 21,230 units affected. They were sold at Hobby Lobby stores nationwide and online at hobbylobby.com from May 2025 through December 2025 for between $6 for the Giraffe and $8 for the Llama.

Consumers should immediately stop using the Giraffe Plush Toy with clip and the Llama Plush Toy with clip and return them to the nearest Hobby Lobby store for a full refund.
