Plain-English summary
NFSVLB-branded baby bath seats, model ZY2025, are being recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The blue and white seats with detachable arm restraints violate the mandatory standard for infant bath seats.
The recalled bath seats are unstable and can tip over while in use. The leg openings are large enough to allow a child to slip down until the child's torso becomes entrapped, posing a risk of serious injury or death from drowning and entrapment. The seats have four suction cups on the bottom.
About 1,430 units were sold online through Amazon.com between May 2025 and October 2025 for between $25 and $40. The distributor is Shenzhen Maihua Trading Co., Ltd., dba NFSVLB, of China. No injuries or illnesses have been reported.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bath seats. To obtain a refund, contact NFSVLB by email at [email protected]. The company requests that consumers mark the seat as "Recalled" in permanent marker, disassemble it by removing the back rest and arm restraints, discard the screws, cut the four suction cups on the bottom, and send a photo of the disassembled bath seat. NFSVLB will provide a refund upon receipt of the photo.
