Blossom Children's Loungewear Recalled for Flammability Violations and Burn Risk

Blossom Children's Loungewear sets do not meet mandatory flammability standards for children's sleepwear, posing a burn injury risk. About 630 sets sold between September 2023 and May 2025 are affected.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: This recall involves a violation of mandatory federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear, creating a documented risk of burn injuries. Although no injuries have been reported to date, the hazard is based on regulatory standards protecting against fire risk, making this a risk-of-harm product where injury has not yet been reported, warranting a High severity score.

Plain-English summary

Blossom Children's Loungewear sets are being recalled because they violate the mandatory flammability standard for children's sleepwear. The two-piece sets consist of a button-up shirt (short-sleeved or long-sleeved) with a front pocket and matching shorts or pants. Because they do not meet flammability requirements, the loungewear poses a risk of burn injuries to children.

The recalled sets were sold in children's sizes 12 months through 12 years in various colors (white, navy, light blue, light pink, and lilac) and designs, including fireworks, multi-stripes, tulips, sailboats, letter to Santa, and Santa paws. About 630 units were distributed and sold between September 2023 and May 2025 through multiple retailers in several states and online retailers. The loungewear was priced between $18 and $35.

The loungewear was distributed by Blossom Blanks, LLC (doing business as Blossom) of Gadsden, Alabama and sold at retailers in Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Tennessee, as well as through online retailers.

Consumers should stop using the recalled loungewear sets immediately. Blossom is offering a full refund in the original form of payment or store credit. To receive the refund, consumers should destroy the garments by cutting them in half, taking a photo, and emailing the photo to [email protected]. A receipt or proof of purchase is not required.
