The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled VFAUOSIT kitchen faucets, model number 06BNV. These are brushed nickel, single-handle kitchen faucets with a pull-down detachable spray and single-hole installation. About 29,000 units were sold online through Amazon.com by seller Whisper08 (operated by Jiang men cai nuo wei yu you xian gong si of China) from January 2024 through May 2025 for approximately $40 each.

Testing found that the recalled faucets leach lead into water at levels that can be particularly harmful to infants and young children. The faucets also leach other contaminants. Lead ingestion can cause harmful neurological effects in infants and young children, including attention-related behavioral problems, decreased cognitive performance, and lower IQ. No injuries or illnesses have been reported.

Consumers should immediately stop using these faucets. Until the faucets can be replaced, consumers may run water for 15 seconds before use to reduce contaminant levels.
