What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: The CPSC identifies tip-over and entrapment hazards for furniture, which are risk-of-harm products. However, no injuries or illnesses have been reported. Per the rubric, risk-of-harm products without reported injury are rated High (3).

Plain-English summary

George Oliver six-drawer wooden dressers have been recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The dressers measure about 31 inches tall, 47 inches wide, and 15½ inches deep, and were sold in cream color.

The dressers are unstable if not properly anchored to a wall, creating tip-over and entrapment hazards. Additionally, two metal support legs pose tripping hazards. The recalled units violate performance and warning label requirements of the STURDY Act, which regulates clothing storage unit stability.

Approximately 220 units were sold exclusively on Wayfair.com between September 2024 and March 2025 for about $275 each. No injuries have been reported to date.

Consumers who own recalled dressers should immediately stop using them if they are not properly anchored to a wall and keep them away from children.
