The foam rollers come in four assorted patterns with yellow, green, blue, and red handles. The handles contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban.
About 2,880 units were sold in the United States, along with 24 units in Canada. The affected rollers were sold online at Amazon.com, StaplesAdvantage.com, MacPhersonsArt.com, ADASales.com, and Walmart.com, as well as at the Teacher's Edition store in Brooklyn, New York, from September 2023 through January 2024 for about $15. The lot codes included in the recall are "02142080423" and "02142230523," which are printed on the back of the packaging.
Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects. No injuries have been reported. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled foam pattern rollers and take them away from children.
