Advantage Sales & Marketing LLC, licensee of the Good Matters brand, is recalling about 30,100 Good Matters three-wick candles. The recalled candles are 21 oz. glass tumblers with wooden lids embossed with "Good Matters." They were sold in multiple colors and scents, including Hope, Love, Peace, Cypress+Fig, Leather+Oud, Citrus+Basil, Homecoming, Snowfall, and Wild Pine.

The candles can burn at higher than usual temperatures, causing the glass jars to break. This poses fire and laceration injury hazards to consumers.

The candles were sold at Bealls, Gabriel Brothers, HomeGoods, and Tuesday Morning stores nationwide, as well as online at Amazon and goodmatterscandles.com, from December 2021 through August 2022 for about $50. The firm has received four reports of the candles catching on fire, cracking, or breaking apart while in use, resulting in minor property damage and one consumer being burned.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled candles and contact Good Matters toll-free at 888-470-4276 (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET Monday through Friday) or visit www.goodmatterscandles.com/recall for instructions on how to cut the candle wicks and dispose of the product. A full refund is available, and consumers will be asked to certify disposal.
