Children's Sleepwear Recalled for Flammability Standards Violation
Jammers Apparel Group is recalling about 450 children's nightgowns sold at JCPenney from March to May 2022 because they fail to meet federal flammability standards and pose a burn risk to children.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The nightgowns fail to meet federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear, which is a risk-of-harm product category. Although no injuries have been reported, the hazard directly threatens child safety through potential burn injury, meeting the High severity threshold for risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported.
