Sakar International Recalls Tony Hawk Silver Helmets Due to Head Injury Risk

The recalled helmets do not comply with U.S. CPSC federal safety standards for bicycle helmets, specifically the positional stability and retention system requirements. As a result, the helmets can fail to protect in the event of a crash, posing a risk of head injury. No injuries have been reported.
Approximately 12,655 units were sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online at www.walmart.com from March 2022 through June 2022 for about $30. These helmets were also provided as replacement units for Sakar Dimensions Bluetooth Speaker Helmets in March 2022.

Consumers will receive a $40 Walmart gift card refund and should not return helmets to Walmart. Sakar will provide prepaid postage packaging for returns and will contact all known purchasers.
