Polaris Industries Inc. is recalling approximately 1,600 model year 2017 Polaris GENERAL Base and GENERAL Hunter two-seat, side-by-side recreational off-highway vehicles (ROVs). The GENERAL Base was sold in red and the GENERAL Hunter in camo. The vehicles were sold by Polaris dealers nationwide from June 2016 through July 2017 for between $16,300 and $19,000.

The recall is being issued because inconsistent tire pressure information can result in improperly inflated tires, which poses a crash hazard. No injuries have been reported in connection with this defect.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vehicles and contact Polaris for a new tire pressure label and an addendum to the owner's manual. All known purchasers are being contacted directly by the firm.
