The recalled panels are black plastic sheets measuring approximately 41 inches long by 21 inches wide by 1/8 inch thick, with the model number RNG-100DB located on the top of the panel. The company has received 11 reports of the panels overheating, including three reports of property damage, but no injuries have been reported.
About 1,500 units were sold in the United States, and an additional 20 were sold in Canada. The panels were sold online through Amazon.com, eBay.com, and Renogy-store.com from May 2015 through October 2015 for approximately $300 each. The panels were manufactured in Thailand.
