SalesOne International is recalling approximately 8,400 units of light-up ear plug jewelry due to a burn hazard. The recalled ear plugs contain a coin-cell battery that lights up a decorative pattern and are designed to be inserted into a pierced ear lobe to stretch the piercing. The jewelry features a diamond logo on the front and is available in black/white and black/red colors in sizes 00, 0, 1/2, 5/8, 7/16, and 9/16.

The hazard exists because battery acid can leak from the jewelry's battery, posing a burn risk to consumers. SalesOne has received 13 reports of burn injuries to consumers resulting from this leakage. The product was manufactured in China and sold exclusively at Spencer Gifts stores nationwide from November 2014 through February 2015 for about $20.
