The recall involves model SZL48-22KT with serial numbers K7100001 through K7102353 and model SZL52-24KT with serial numbers K7200001 through K7202020. The model and serial numbers are printed on a vertical plate under the mower's seat. The mowers feature an orange base with two orange and black steering handles, two large black wheels with orange rims in the back, and two smaller black wheels with orange rims in the front.

The gas tank on these mowers can leak, which poses a fire hazard. Scag Power Equipment has received five reports of gas tank leaks on the mowers, but no injuries have been reported.

These mowers were sold at Scag Power Equipment authorized dealers nationwide from October 2014 through May 2015 for about $4,500. Consumers should immediately stop using these recalled lawn mowers and contact Scag Power Equipment or an authorized dealer for a free repair.
